NATIONAL VOTER REGISTRATION MONTH
September is National Voter Registration Month (NVRM), and our team is traveling the state to register voters. Established in 2002 by members of the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS), NVRM is designed to encourage voter participation and awareness.
This year, September 17 will be highlighted as National Voter Registration Day (NVRD). Since its inception in 2012, more than 5 million Americans have either registered to vote or updated their voter registration on National Voter Registration Day.
While I'm proud of our team's continuous efforts to register Mississippi voters during the month of September, we must remain committed to promoting this civic duty year-round. Since January 2020, we have helped register nearly 310,000 new voters through events like NVRM, our Voter Registration Roadtrip, our SOS Student Ambassador program, and more.
You may download a voter registration application, verify your voter registration status, or update your information on Y'allVote.ms. You will also find absentee voting information and other helpful resources on our My Election Day portal. The voter registration deadline for the General Election is October 7.
Additionally, be sure you're following the Secretary of State's Office on Facebook, X, or Instagram for more #TrustedInfo2024 updates.
Should you have any questions about voter registration or election information, I encourage you to reach out to our Elections Division at ElectionAnswers@sos.ms.gov or (800) 829-6786. We are your primary and trusted source for election information!

HONOR A VETERAN WITH YOUR VOTE
In collaboration with Mississippi Veterans Affairs, I'm thrilled to renew our Vote in Honor of a Veteran program for the November General Election.
Through the Vote in Honor of a Veteran webpage, Mississippi voters may dedicate their vote to a veteran or service member. Upon submission, participants will receive a Vote in Honor of a Veteran button and social card to highlight their veteran or soldier at the polls on Election Day (November 5, 2024). Submissions may also be displayed on the Vote in Honor of a Veteran "Honor Wall."
We are blessed to live in a great nation where thousands of Americans sacrifice their safety to protect our families and communities. I encourage you to help us honor our veterans and soldiers! Not only do we appreciate your support of our military, but also ensuring your voice is heard at the ballot box.

PROMOTE THE VOTE 2024
We recently unveiled Promote the Vote 2024, our K-12 voter education program for Mississippi students and teachers.
This year's theme, "This Land is My Land," encourages students to reflect on the unique qualities and charm of the state of Mississippi and why they are proud to call it “home.”
I'm thankful for this opportunity to help educate our young Mississippians on the importance of civic duty and responsibility. I encourage you to help us spread the word about PTV in your communities. PTV is free and open to all students and teachers in Mississippi!

STUDENT AMBASSADORS VISIT MSU
A big thanks to Mississippi State University for hosting our SOS Student Ambassador campus visit in Starkville!
Our Student Ambassadors toured the MSU campus and learned more about the College of Business and College of Engineering. They also heard leadership lessons from President Mark Keenum and Athletic Director Zac Selmon.
Investing in Mississippi's best and brightest is one of my favorite things we do at the Secretary of State's Office. Our future is bright with these students!
