2024 PRIMARY ELECTION DAY
Mississippi’s Primary Election is days away! The March 12 ballot includes offices of President, U.S. Senate, and U.S. Representative.
The My Election Day portal is an excellent resource to educate yourself on the election and receive information tailored to your address. With an updated polling place locator, sample ballots, absentee/affidavit ballot tracker, and election official information, our goal is to ensure you have trusted information at your fingertips.
As a reminder, polls for the Primary Election will open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m. Any voter in line at 7:00 p.m. is legally entitled to cast a ballot.
I encourage each of you, regardless of the races on the ballot, to cast your vote on Election Day to ensure your voice is heard. Make your plans now to visit the polls on Tuesday, or cast your absentee ballot today, if eligible.
For questions, you may call our Elections Division at (800) 829-6786, email ElectionsAnswers@sos.ms.gov, or visit YallVote.ms.

STUDENT AMBASSADOR SPRING SUMMIT
We had the privilege of hosting our SOS Student Ambassadors for their final summit of the year. The Ambassadors enjoyed a day at the Capitol learning about the legislative process, how to host a voter registration drive at their schools, Lunch & Learn with Chevron, and more.
This group of students continually inspires me, and I look forward to following them in their future endeavors. Mississippi is in good hands with this generation of leaders.
We are currently accepting applications for the 2024-2025 class. I encourage you to visit the link below or share with your friends and colleagues.

TOPGOLF GROUNDBREAKING
My friend Gabriel Prado and his team broke ground on Mississippi’s first Topgolf in Ridgeland. Projects like this are choosing to call Mississippi home because of the bright economic future of our state. Whether it be through our regulatory reform via Tackle the Tape or innovative business services initiatives like Welcome to Business Webinars, the future is bright for business leaders like Gabriel!

ECM YOUTH LEADERS VISIT
One of the best things I get to do as Secretary of State is to visit with Mississippi's best and brightest students. Each year, I am fortunate to have the opportunity to address the Electric Cooperatives of MS Youth Leaders Program. Similarly to our SOS Ambassador program, the dialogue with our youth is invaluable as we make decisions now to pave the way for generations to come! This engaged group challenges me to think outside the box and inspires me to be better each day!

REALTOR DAY AT THE CAPITOL
|
|
I recently visited with the members of the Mississippi Association of Realtors during their Capitol Day in Jackson. Not only is this an extremely engaged group of Mississippians, but they are our state's greatest ambassadors. We are grateful for their leadership, commitment to Mississippi's success, and hospitality offered to all those with whom they interact! |
COLUMBUS ROTARY VISIT
A big thanks to the Columbus Rotary for the opportunity to talk about the great things happening in our office. From restoring confidence to Mississippi voters to reducing the regulatory burden on small businesses, we work daily to support all Mississippians and, equally as important, applaud local leaders for their service in our communities. Through engaged civic clubs like Rotary, Mississippi gets better government.
