Cannabis business technical assistance program launches Nov. 19

The City of Minneapolis is launching cannabis-specific business technical assistance with a Lunch & Learn webinar hosted by local law firm Schulman Buske Reams. Join partners Jared Reams and Craig Buske to learn more about the limbo period between being awarded preliminary license status and full licensure. To be eligible for this program, your business must plan to be located or operate within the City of Minneapolis.

The Lunch & Learn will take place noon – 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19, on Microsoft Teams. See event flier for more information.

A limited number of one-on-one consultations with Schulman Buske Reams will be available to those who attend the Lunch & Learn, to get help with any cannabis related legal questions.

To register and receive a link to the Lunch & Learn, email Shulman Buske Reams

For questions related to Cannabis Technical Assistance, email the Small Business Team.

Lower-potency hemp edible licensing window now closed

Office of Cannabis Management’s (OCM) first licensing window for lower-potency hemp edible (LPHE) businesses closed Oct. 31. Businesses that applied for an LPHE-retailer license from OCM may continue to sell LPHE products while they await a license. Once businesses receive their license, they must complete a retail registration form with the City of Minneapolis to continue selling LPHE products.

If your business did not complete an LPHE-retailer license application, you may no longer sell LPHE products. OCM has said they will open more licensing windows in the future.
