Speak your mind at the Community Connections Conference
We invite you to speak your mind and help guide future City policies at 2025 Community Connections Conference.
Breakout sessions
Join one of our breakout sessions to share your stories and vision with the City of Minneapolis.
Share Your Health Story
You can help shape the future of local public health work by sharing your health-related experiences in Minneapolis. You can contribute to a better understanding of what community health looks like in the real world, beyond statistics or assumptions. The Minneapolis Health Department will use these stories as part of their five-year community health assessment.
Envisioning a Food Focused Future
Join us for a visioning session about improving our local food system. Learn how farming practices and career pathways play a role.
Introduction to City Council
Learn how the Minneapolis City Council works, what it does, and how and when to contact your Council member. You’ll also learn simple ways to stay up-to-date on council processes, search for information, find language support and how you can make your voice heard.
See more breakout sessions.
Exhibits

 REIB StoryCorps Initiative
The City of Minneapolis Racial Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Department (REIB), in collaboration with StoryCorps, is creating a community archive of stories about the murder of George Floyd, the civil unrest that followed, and the resulting and ongoing efforts to reform the Minneapolis Police Department. Stories recorded as part of this initiative will be kept online and in a public archive at the Library of Congress where they will be saved for future generations. Read the full description on the exhibit list webpage.
MN StoryCollective
Share experiences and ideas for change so that State programs, policies, and practices better meet the needs of all families. Stop by to read stories, give input and learn more about how you can connect. Learn more about MN StoryCollective.
Traffic Safety Camera Pilot
Minneapolis is working to launch a pilot of traffic safety cameras in 2025. The cameras will enforce speed limits as part of the City's effort to improve traffic safety. Public Works staff will share information around the planned pilot and get feedback from community members about potential camera locations. Read more about the pilot and Vision Zero.
