Attend an update session to learn about progress on the South Minneapolis Community Safety Center and Lake Street Safety Center
In spring 2024, Minneapolis residents, stakeholders and business owners attended a series of community engagement sessions to share their thoughts on which social services, resources and other uses that they would like to see in the future community safety centers.
Now, we are coming back to share what we heard and what we did with your input.
Stay involved in our process
Attend an upcoming session to get updates on:
- The services and resources in the future centers.
- How your feedback is being used to shape our plans.
- Progress on both safety centers.
- Other safety programs in the city.

We encourage residents and stakeholders to attend a community engagement session according to the ward they live or work in. Anyone who lives, works, or visits South Minneapolis is invited to attend.
City staff will be available for a Q&A after the presentation. Community members can also learn more about other safety programs in the city.
