Minneapolis Forward, stories from the community of rebuilding and economic recovery
Stop by the Chillax Lounge on second floor of the Minneapolis Convention Center during the Community Connections Conference to see the Minneapolis Forward: Stories from the community of rebuilding and economic recovery video series or check them out on the City website.
Signs of recovery can be seen all around Minneapolis. The Minneapolis Forward video series highlights some of the incredible rebuilding efforts happening in the city and the people behind the work. These profiles are a testament to the enduring commitment of community members creating a more equitable and inclusive Minneapolis.
In the wake of the significant challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the tragic events following George Floyd's murder, these narratives showcase a variety of developments that are fostering a more prosperous city for all Minneapolis residents, business owners, and stakeholders.
The videos are presented in an interactive story map. The map pinpoints the locations of these developments and provides supplementary data with each story.
Connect with City leaders about youth and community safety
As part of the City's ongoing engagement with young people and families, we invite you to join City leaders, the Minneapolis Youth Cabinet and the Youth Coordinating Board for a community dialogue about how we should be a safe, healthy and child friendly city. Our discussion will focus on community safety.
Council President Elliott Payne and most City Council members will participate in round table discussions with conference guests from 2-3:45 p.m. on the second floor, room 211.
