Community dialogue on being a safe, healthy and child friendly city
City leaders want to hear from you! In 2024, the City of Minneapolis will become the second city in the United States to be designated as a UNICEF USA Child Friendly City. This year, we will write a three-year plan that prioritizes emergency preparedness, youth voice in decision-making, leadership, community safety and child rights learning and engagement. Read the current local action plan.
As part of our ongoing engagement with young people and families, we invite you to join Minneapolis City Council members, the Minneapolis Youth Cabinet, the Minneapolis Youth Coordinating Board and City leaders for a community dialogue about how we should be a safe, healthy and child friendly city. Our discussion will focus on community safety.
The dialogue will be from 2-3:45 p.m. during the City's Community Connections Conference.
