The City of Minneapolis seeks proposals from consultants to create a development plan for the New Nicollet Redevelopment Project
The City is reconnecting Nicollet Avenue between Lake Street and the Midtown Greenway as part of the New Nicollet Redevelopment Project. This project represents a once-in-a-generation opportunity to help reshape the future of the site and contribute to an increased quality of life for people living and working in the immediate area. The City plans to construct Nicollet Avenue between Lake Street and Cecil Newman Lane and develop the remainder of the site into a high-density, mixed-use, walkable area.
The City of Minneapolis is accepting proposals until February 2, 2024, to create a development plan for future development at the former Kmart site. Consultant teams that submit proposals must have expertise in:
- Real estate development, including market analysis, site planning, and financial modeling for housing and mixed-use projects; and
- Public engagement, including designing for and engaging with diverse cultural and BIPOC communities.
Virtual pre-proposal conference
There will be a virtual pre-proposal conference on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 12:00 noon on Microsoft Teams. Click here to join the virtual conference.
