Sector 2 Crime Weekly Update

For the Bancroft, Bryant Central, Corcoran, Powderhorn Park and Standish (North of E. 42nd Street)

Week of Sept 18 to Sept 24, 2018

Residential Burglaries

Home burglaries were all located on or near Cedar Av, between E. 34th St to E 41st St/17th Av S to 20th Av S. Please be extra alert in this area! Call 9-1-1 if you see anything suspicious.

            36xx Longfellow Av                 9/18 @ 9:30am

            40xx Longfellow Av                 9/20 bet. 8am-12 noon          

            34xx Cedar Av                        9/21 bet. 7pm-9:19pm

            34xx 20th Av S            9/21-22 bet. 7pm-7am

            38xx 17th Av S            9/24 bet. 7:45am-7:41pm

            36xx 18th Av S            9/24 bet. 8:30am-4pm attempt

Entry made by cut screen on unlocked window (2), unlocked door, broke door (2) and broken basement window.

Loss: purse, keys, tools, jewelry.

Garage

41xx 20th Av S            9/20 @ 7:09am           There is a suspect in this case.

36xx 26th Av S            9/23-24 time unknown

Entry made by open overhead door and nfe.

Loss: tools.

Business Crimes

There were two business burglaries and two business robberies.

 

On 9/19, unknown suspect(s) entered Botany Coffee at 1830 E. 38th Street by breaking the glass in the door.

 

On 9/21 @ 5:09am, unknown suspect(s) entered El Nuevo Miramar at 501 E Lake Street by unknown method.

 

Metro PCS, 3541 Cedar Av (9/18 @ 2:01pm): This location was robbed at gunpoint. Suspects related to Metro PCS case on 9/20.

 

Metro PCS, 319 Lake St E (9/20 @ 7:44pm): Officers responded to a Robbery of Business at the listed location. Officers arrived and spoke with an employee at the business. The suspects were located and booked into HCJ for PC Robbery.

 

There was one auto theft and three theft from motor vehicles.

 

Robberies

There was one robbery of person in the Sector during this time period.

10th Av S/36th St E (9/22 @ 4:23pm): Victim was walking home and was pushed down to ground where items were taken.
