Twin Cities Urban Agriculture Research Workshop
Wednesday, Oct. 5th | 9am - 3:30pm
Sabathani Community Center - Gymnasium (map)
The purpose of this workshop is to convene people who are interested in sharing knowledge related to various aspects of urban agriculture, and to prioritize steps for using knowledge needed to repair social injustices and create a healthier environment in the Twin Cities.
We hope to engage community members, urban agriculture practitioners, academics, Extension professionals, and others in a participatory action research approach to urban agriculture at the workshop. This will allow us to design, share, and carry out research that is collaboratively owned to answer local questions and connect across communities to ask questions at broader scale in the region.
The event will be facilitated by Mary Rogers, Sam Grant and Valentine Cadieux. This is a no-cost event but registration is required for lunch. Contact Christian Curran (cdcurran@umn.edu) to register. Find more information on the event Facebook page.
