MOSERS offers long-term disability insurance (LTD) to replace up to 60% of your pre-disability income if you can't work due to illness or injury, as long as you meet the eligibility requirements.
There's no cost to you and your employer pays the premiums if you are an active employee. You will also continue to earn service credit toward retirement while on LTD.
If you need to file a claim, call The Standard at (844) 505-6026 and contact your HR representative to start the process. It can take one week to four months before a decision is made.
You can learn more about LTD benefits on the MOSERS website.

Group term life insurance helps protect you and your family from financial hardship in case of death. Term life insurance does not accumulate cash value and results in benefit payment only upon the death of a covered individual.
MOSERS offers basic life insurance, equal to your annual salary, for free to most members. Your employer pays the premiums, and you may be able to purchase additional “optional” life insurance for yourself, your spouse, and your child(ren) at group rates where you pay the premiums.
Learn more about your life insurance benefits on the MOSERS website. If you have any questions, please contact your HR specialist.

In addition to the term life insurance, you may purchase universal life coverage through the Missouri Voluntary Life Insurance Contractor (MoVLIC).
Besides providing benefits to your family, your universal life insurance plan builds a cash value that can help you with more immediate needs, such as sending your children to college or supplementing your retirement income. The premium can be deducted from your paycheck and is based on your age and the amount of coverage you elect. Click here to learn more!

“The sky is the limit when it comes to what you can do working for the State of Missouri!” |
|
Meet Ryan, a retired army veteran who served for over 20 years. He embarked on a career with the State of Missouri to pursue continuous learning and find meaningful purpose in his work. Ryan understands that a job is often more than just a paycheck and that the benefits are equally important. The TRICARE Supplement Plan, available for eligible military members, allows him to prioritize his health by eliminating copayments and coinsurance. Not only have the benefits made Ryan’s time with the State worthwhile, but the support from his supervisors while transitioning from the military to the civilian workforce has also made this change possible. Ryan loves supporting the customers he serves in his current role and appreciates the variety of opportunities the State provides.
