Greetings to all of you,
I am so proud that you as a state employee will once again have the opportunity to participate in the Missouri Mentor Initiative (MMI), a program that allows up to 300 Missouri state employees in targeted locations to serve as mentors for one hour per week during the workweek. By allowing you and your fellow employees to dedicate one hour of your workweek every week to this program, young lives across the state will be influenced in a positive way.
I also want to express my thanks to First Lady Teresa Parson and Second Lady Claudia Kehoe for laying the groundwork to revive MMI across Missouri. They, along with me, know that there are many children in need of someone who will recognize, appreciate, and cultivate the God-given abilities they possess.
Please take the time to consider participating in this program. By doing so, your life and the life of a child will be changed forever. First Lady Teresa Parson and Second Lady Claudia Kehoe have attached a letter to show their support.
Sincerely,
Michael L. Parson
Governor
