We wanted to let you know that there is currently an issue with Webex functionality due to a recent update from Cisco. This issue is not related to the adoption of M365. The issue reported by OA-ITSD is that some individuals are only able to join Webex by desk phone and there is no computer audio option provided. Also, when the user joins with their desk phone, it will show them in the meeting twice.
Cisco is currently working on this issue and the problem will be corrected in a future version update. In the interim, users can do one of the following workarounds while we wait for the update from Cisco:
OPTION 1:
If the only option offered is the desk phone , click on Disconnect, which will default back to using your PC audio/headset.
If you do select Disconnect, you will have to reconnect Webex to your phone by clicking the Connect to a Device at the top right of the Webex App. This will set the App to use your phone for calls again.
OPTION 2:
You can click Join, then once you’re in the meeting you can change the audio to your PC by clicking the drop-down arrow beside the Mute button to select Computer Audio, Call me, or Call in.
if you are experiencing glitches, update your Webex application. If this does not fix the issue, send in an IT ticket.
