DSS Team,
On Thursday, April 28, the Department of Social Services invites your child to work alongside you for the day to support National Take Our Sons & Daughters to Work Day. This insightful opportunity allows children to experience the work world, sparks them to think about their own future career aspirations, and offers a chance for them to see firsthand how skills they learn in a classroom are used beyond that.
With your manager's approval, your son, daughter, niece, nephew, grandchild or young friend is welcome to join you for the work day and get inspiration for their future! To make this day safe, fun, and meaningful for everyone please remember:
- The child should be between the ages of 8 and 18
- Appropriate supervision will be required
- Normal functions of the workplace must continue with minimal disruption
Divisions and/or offices may be planning specific activities to participate in. If you have any questions, please contact your local managers, your divisional human resource office, or HRC at HRC@dss.mo.gov.
