Effective October 1, 2021, prescribers of controlled substances for MO HealthNet participants are required to check an available Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) prior to prescribing a controlled substance to the participant.
Recently, MO HealthNet has received several questions regarding this requirement. Based on these questions, MO HealthNet has created an FAQ document to aid MO HealthNet providers.
The FAQ document is available on the MO HealthNet website under Frequently Updated Documents and is titled Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) FAQ.
