DSS Team,
Please take a moment to view to this update as we all continue to adjust to changes due to COVID-19. Some of the important updates include:
-
Governor Parson’s Stay Home Missouri order has been extended until May 3. Further direction will be coming in the weeks ahead as we look towards reopening the state.
-
We may never return to doing business exactly as we did before COVID-19, and we will continue to look for opportunities to help Missourians in other ways. With that said, we will continue to get DSS team members who are able to work from alternate locations set up through remote access as we look towards the future.
-
As a reminder, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is generally reserved for those who are dealing directly with individuals or families who have tested positive for COVID 19 or who are suspected to have COVID-19.
-
We have been able to purchase 5,000 cloth masks currently with another 10,000 cloth masks on order for DSS team members still working outside of their homes. These masks will be delivered to offices. You are not required to wear a mask, but we wanted to provide them as an option if you would feel more comfortable.
-
Social distancing and proper hygiene will continue to be important, even as we see COVID-19 positives decline.
Please continue to reach out to me with any questions you may have at Jennifer.Tidball@dss.mo.gov. I truly believe we will be stronger and we will be able to do our work better in the future because of what we were able to endure these past couple months. The people we serve need our help now more than ever, and I appreciate the work you continue to do each day.
Together in public service,
Jennifer Tidball
