The Department will implement a new MyTax Missouri portal service to electronically file sales and use tax returns after September 6, 2017. This new feature for electronic filing is part of a new integrated tax system implementation. |

Due to the changes in our tax system, our paper return format and online filing format will change to allow the Department the ability to scan and capture information into the new system. You can find the forms and additional information concerning these changes on our website at http://dor.mo.gov/forms/. The form numbers have not changed, but several formatting changes were made to the layout and codes used by the Department to identify the specific location of your business. |
The monthly due date for the July 2017 reporting period is August 21, 2017. We would like to request taxpayers file as early as possible to assist with the transition to the new system. State offices located in Jefferson City will be closed on Monday, August 21, 2017, in the interest of public safety due to the solar eclipse and the large number of visitors expected in the city. Offices will reopen on August 22, 2017. If you experience any problems filing your sales or use tax return online during this time, please file a paper return to ensure the return is filed timely. |
