Dear Missouri Department of Corrections Family & Friends:

Farmington Correctional Center (FCC) visiting has been canceled for this weekend, Friday through Sunday, July 5-7, 2024, in Farmington, Missouri.

A water main break the morning of Wednesday, July 3, flooded the visiting rooms at FCC and left part of the facility without running water. The visiting room continues to be affected by flooding, and water in the visitors' restrooms has not yet been restored to full service.

The water main break has disrupted cold water operations, affecting sinks and toilets, in about half of the facility. However, all residents have access to hot water, and all have been provided with drinking water. Our maintenance teams have prioritized restoring full water service to residents as quickly as possible.

We know connecting with family and friends is vital to the wellbeing and success of incarcerated Missourians. To help you stay better connected to loved ones at FCC this holiday weekend, we have partnered with Securus Technologies to provide five free e-messages per FCC resident, available beginning tomorrow, Thursday, July 4.

We will keep you posted when full water service and visiting have been restored.

Thank you for your patience, and have a safe and happy Independence Day.
