Dear Corrections Team:

Please join me in welcoming Centurion as the new contracted offender health services provider for the Missouri Department of Corrections, effective Nov. 15. Centurion brings many years of correctional health care experience to Missouri, and we look forward to an innovative and rewarding partnership.

While this transition primarily affects contracted health care staff, it also requires a significant amount of cooperation and adjustment from all institutional staff. Over the coming weeks, you might notice some differences in terminology or protocol pertaining to offender health care, but our current policies and guidelines will remain in place — and so will the health care staff you work with every day. As we begin the transition process, please be patient, and please continue to cooperate with your administrators, health care staff and team members to ensure that this change is as seamless as possible.

The past 20 months have shown us that Missouri Department of Corrections staff show up, rise to the occasion and tackle the most demanding challenges we’re given — all while continuing to look out for one another and remaining committed to providing services to our offender population. I am confident that this transition will be no different. Thank you for all you do to make this department great.
