Securus Provides 2 Free Weekly Calls

Dear Family and Friends:

During this difficult and uncertain time, we appreciate your patience. We are working hard to protect the health of your loved ones by enforcing strict cleaning and screening regimens while also limiting the number of people entering our facilities. This includes the suspension of visiting. 

To help you stay in touch with your incarcerated loved ones, Securus, the company providing offender phone service in Missouri Department of Corrections facilities, has offered to provide two FREE 10-minute phone calls per week to each offender. The following message was sent to offenders today:

The Department has worked together with Securus to help you keep in contact with family and friends while offender visits have been suspended. Starting Monday, March 23, 2020, you may receive up to two (2) free 10-minute phone calls each week. The call credits will be assigned to you and will be applied to your next completed call. The receiving party will not be charged. The phone credits will be replenished each week moving forward until further notice.

We know it’s important to stay connected to those who mean the most, especially with the uneasiness surrounding new cases of COVID-19 in the United States. We were informed that Missouri Department of Corrections has suspended visiting in Missouri prisons to reduce the chance that staff or incarcerated individuals may be exposed to the virus.

To help ensure you can still connect with your incarcerated loved one during this time of care and concern, Securus and the Missouri Department of Corrections have worked together to credit your incarcerated loved one’s account with two (2) free phone calls each week.

Starting Monday, March 23, 2020, offenders may receive up to two (2) free 10-minute phone calls each week. The two (2) free phone calls weekly will remain in place until further notice.
