Tornado Damage and Power Outages
Missouri Department of Corrections sent this bulletin at 05/23/2019 08:00 AM CDT
On the night of May 22-23, storms struck several Missouri communities, and a tornado hit Jefferson City, causing major property damage and several injuries. So far, no fatalities have been reported.
- No damage has been reported at Jefferson City Correctional Center or Algoa Correctional Center. Offenders and staff are safe.
- Currently the Probation & Parole office in Eldon is without power. Anyone who needs to reach staff there should instead contact the District 20 office in Camdenton at 573-346-2878.
