Welcome to a special issue of Missouri State Park eFriends. I’m pleased and excited to announce that the Trails of Missouri State Parks book will be available for everyone’s Christmas wish list.
This 400-page full-color book is a comprehensive guide to more than 230 trails in 58 Missouri state parks and historic sites. Every trail has its own description, map and GPS coordinate for each trailhead. The book includes information on the different types of trail available: hiking, bicycling (including those suitable for mountain biking), equestrian, backpacking and ATV/ORV as well as which trails are accessible to people with disabilities. Additional facts about the state park system, trail safety and trail etiquette will ensure that everyone has a positive and fun trail experience.
This comprehensive guide is in response to people’s request to have more trail information and maps. We listened and this publication is the result.
Hiking has always been a passion for me and that’s one of the reasons I’m so excited about this book. I think you will also be excited about this book once you see what a great resource it is.
