Please note you must be active on the register for which you are applying. For example, if you are interested in an open Environmental Specialist I position, you must be active on the Environmental Specialist I register before you can be considered for that position. Visit https://meritregisters.mo.gov/ for a list of open registers.

If you are active on a register for which we have an open position listed below, you may receive a letter by mail inquiring as to your interest in that position. Please respond back to the letter regardless of your level of interest. If you do not respond, your name may be removed from the register. You can review your active registers by logging onto www.ease.mo.gov and clicking on “Quick Links” at the top of the page. If you need assistance with the application process (or are interested in an open position but not active on that particular register), please contact the department recruiter.

Recently Opened Merit Registers

The Department falls under the state Office of Administration’s “Merit System” application process. The merit registers for the following job classifications have recently opened for recruitment: 

Environmental Specialist I / II / III - registers open continuously for recruitment

Senior Office Support Assistant - register open continuously for recruitment

Maintenance Worker I / II / III - registers open continuously for recruitment 

Design/Development/Survey Manager - register extended through January 11

A register is a list of applicants who have been determined eligible for a specific job classification (or job title). While these classes have been opened for recruitment, it does not necessarily mean there is a corresponding vacancy (although you can easily compare the list of open registers with the list of vacancies above). Before a Merit System agency can consider you for employment, your name must be included on the job classification register(s) for which you are qualified. 

To update your application, go to www.ease.mo.gov and select the registers you are interested in (under the “Select a Job” tab). Visit http://oa.mo.gov/personnel/classification-specifications/ to learn which job titles apply to you based on your education and experience.
