Online Pharmacy Technician Applications
Effective August 4th, pharmacy technician applications must be submitted via the MOPRO online licensing portal. Paper applications will no longer be available online after August 4th. Paper applications postmarked or pending with the office prior to August 4th will still be processed; Applicants do not need to reapply online. Paper applications postmarked or received after August 4th will be returned with instructions for applying through MOPRO.
2025 Entity Renewals
It’s renewal time! Entity renewals will officially open on August 15, 2025, for pharmacies, drug distributors, drug outsourcers, drug distributor registrants, and third-party logistics providers.
Renewal notices will be e-mailed on August 15th to the business e-mail address on file with the Board, along with instructions for renewing online via the MOPRO online licensing portal. Entities will need to register for a MOPRO account to renew online and claim your business license, if not already registered. All renewals must be submitted online via MOPRO. Business licenses will expire on October 31, 2025, if not renewed.
- Business accounts must be setup by an individual person. For security purposes, the individual registering the account will need to provide their Date of Birth and Social Security Number (for U.S. citizens/individuals lawfully present in the U.S.).
- A One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to the business e-mail address of record to complete MOPRO registration. You must have access to the business’s e-mail to complete your MOPRO registration and obtain the OTP. To update a business e-mail address, an official request from a corporate owner, officer, or an attorney must be sent to: pharmacy@pr.mo.gov. Please include the entity’s name, license # and new e-mail address in the request. E-mail addresses can also be updated via MOPRO if the business already has a registered MOPRO account. To update via MOPRO: Login to MOPRO and click the applicable license, click the eye icon next to the far right of the license being updated, and click the blue “Update E-mail/Contact” button at the bottom of the amendment options.
- A unique e-mail address must be used to register in MOPRO. You cannot reuse the e-mail if it is already assigned to another MOPRO individual or business account.
- First time MOPRO registrants should select “Register” on the MOPRO login page and not “Login.” Only select “Login” if you have already registered and claimed a MOPRO account for the business.
- When registering for an existing license, MOPRO will give multiple options to search for your business license (license #, Business name, FEIN # or Missouri Secretary of State Registration #). For accuracy, Board of Pharmacy licensees should search by license #. FEIN and Secretary of State Registration data may be missing or incomplete for licenses issued prior to March 2025. If using the name search option, the business name must be entered exactly as printed on the license (including exact spacing, punctuation, and symbols).
- A separate application is required to change the facility’s name, location, pharmacy classification or designated Pharmacist-in-Charge/Manager-in-Charge/Supervising Pharmacist (additional requirements may apply). Applications can be submitted on the MOPRO online licensing portal. Paper applications are available on the Board’s website: https://pr.mo.gov/pharmacists-forms.asp. Amendments/Changes must be filed and approved before you renew.
- Not Renewing? Please submit an “Out-of-Business Notification” form (paper applications are available on the Board’s website at: https://pr.mo.gov/pharmacists-forms.asp#Pharmacy); No fee applies. The form will give you the option to surrender the facility’s license or to keep the license active until the October 31st expiration date.
-
An FAQ will be e-mailed and posted on the Board’s website after August 4th with detailed instructions on:
- MOPRO registration (new & existing)
- Claiming multiple licenses in the same account
- Granting a Pharmacist-in-Charge/Manager-in-Charge/Supervising Pharmacist access to a business license, and
- Updating corporate officers and pharmacy contact information (e-mail, phone #, mailing address).
Please review the August 4th FAQ once posted for additional MOPRO instructions.
