Pharmacy Technician Licenses Expired on 5/31/2024
Pharmacists-in-charge check your staff’s pharmacy technician registrations. Technicians cannot assist in the practice of pharmacy if they have not renewed their license. Questions concerning technician renewals may be sent to technician@pr.mo.gov.
New Office Phone Number for Chief Inspector
Chief Inspector Tom Glenski has a new office phone number: (573)-298-2812. You can find contact and territory information for all inspectors here.
DHSS Issues Updated Naloxone Standing Order
The Department of Health and Senior Services issued an updated naloxone standing order effective 6/3/2024 which may be found here. This updated version includes the following key changes:
Prescription updates to include the most evidence-based formulations and doses.
- Patient eligibility updates to be more accurate, inclusive, and patient-centered.
- Revision of refill instructions to allow additional naloxone units to be dispensed without erroneously sending refill requests to standing order physician’s clinical practice.
- Updated labeling and communication specifications that align with prescription bottle character limits and prescription software restrictions.
- Addition of primary care community health centers in the appendix list of facilities that provide treatment for substance use disorders.

PHARMACIST LICENSES
Renewals will be sent the beginning of August. In order to renew online, please update your address, employment, and e-mail address as needed using the link on the Board’s website https://info.mo.gov/pr-forms/pharmacy/pharmacists-coa.php. If a name change is required, a copy of the driver’s license, marriage certificate or divorce decree is required. Please include your name and license number on all correspondence to the Board.
