Temporarily, the link to the LPHA Directory under the Quick Links section of the LPHA Hub homepage will redirect to a listing of agencies and contact information for LPHA internal use. DHSS UPDATES
► Reducing Overdose Risk During Re-Entry panel discussion, Feb 4, 1:30 – 3:00 pm. The DHSS OD2A-S team is hosting a free virtual learning event for all Missouri LPHAs. This 90-minute panel discussion will support LPHAs in enhancing access to overdose prevention services for individuals who have experienced incarceration. Registration required by January 30. ► Enhancing Communication Lunch and Learn Session 5: Social Media Best Practices: A temporary link to the recorded session is available online. The recording will also be added to the Communications page on the Hub. Access the recording using passcode: Mg$@c#0z (link)
► ADA Compliance: Government entities serving a population of 50,000 or more persons must ensure their web content and mobile apps meet WCAG 2.1, Level AA by April 24, 2026. Organizations serving 0 to 49,999 persons have until April 26, 2027. This may feel daunting for LPHAs. DHSS' Office of Public Information will offer a special webinar in February to provide key recommendations for ensuring your website meets requirements. Details to come.

► Narratives Training: County Health Rankings and Roadmaps (CHRR) will be hosting a series of trainings on narrative in 2026. The series includes three trainings that will answer questions as you embed narratives into your work and build power:
1) How do we go even deeper in power and understand why it matters for public health? How can we contextualize this to partners?
2) What is inside-outside strategy? What does it look like to be in relationship with organizers?
3) How do you talk across divides and build solidarity?
4) What are some tips to translate narratives to messages to create impactful stories for my audience(s)?
