HUB UPDATES
The Hub received a major facelift this week! All of the information is still there, but it may have moved. Lengthy blocks of content have been moved from the home page to their own pages (Communications, Data Resources, Links, and Communicable Disease). The menu has been simplified and drop down items have been added to aid with site navigation. We'll review the changes at the Fall Regional LPHA meetings, but please reach out using the feedback form if you have difficulty finding something or have suggestions for additional improvements.

DHSS UPDATES
► West Nile Virus (WNV) cases are on the rise in Missouri, with 16 cases reported, 15 hospitalizations, and 3 deaths.
► COVID-19 vaccine is now available for VFC providers to order via ShowMeVax. (details)
► DHSS is continuing to work on COVID-19 vaccine guidance in response to FDA and CDC recommendations. There is confusion among health care partners as to who can authorize a COVID-19 vaccine under the recommendation of using "shared clinical decision-making," and there is confusion among the public regarding where they can get vaccinated and what is required to be vaccinated if they are under age 65. DHSS is awaiting Board of Pharmacy feedback before proceeding with additional messaging.
► The State Public Health Lab (SPHL) is making changes to courier services (details). Please note, any specimens that need to be collected for an urgent communicable disease prevention and response effort by an LPHA will be handled on a case-by-case basis to figure out the best way to get to SPHL when courier services are not available.
► WebSurv Migration to ShowMe WorldCare (details). The last set of conditions in WebSurv is scheduled to migrate to ShowMe WorldCare later this month, with go-live planned for Monday, October 20, 2025. Due to the large volume of records involved in this last migration, ShowMe WorldCare will shut down one day earlier than in past migrations. Agencies should have a plan in place for handling any reportable conditions during this time. BDMI will check for high priority conditions on Friday so that agencies will be aware. DHSS and the vendor have taken steps to reduce the time required for data migration, but if any conditions are not ready for use at go-live, that information will be communicated in the “all clear” message on Monday.
► CHIP HSI Expenditure Report for Quarter Ending 09-25 (July 1, 2025, to September 30, 2025) is due by November 17. Expenditure Reports for each program are posted on the LPHA Hub, Contracts page. Scroll down to CHIP HSI section, select the correct report template, and click the QE 09-25 tab at the bottom of the sheet to add your expenditures. All forms must be signed and submitted via e-mail to CLPHSCHIPHSIReports@health.mo.gov. The form allows an electronic signature to certify expenditures. This is continuing the modified total direct costs (MTDC) reporting. Please continue to keep an electronic copy of the CHIP H.S.I. Net Expenditure Report(s) submitted each quarter. One report form (for each CHIP H.S.I. program) will be used to submit expenditures for the entire year (four quarters for the period QE 9/30/25 through the QE 6/30/26).
► Fall regional meetings start Oct 14 - 16, Oct 21, and Nov 4 around Missouri. (agenda)
► Next week, Governor Kehoe will be publicly receiving his flu shot. Thank you, Cole County Health Department! DHSS will do some additional education on respiratory virus season and prevention efforts.
► Governor Kehoe declares October "Let's Talk" month to encourage conversation about health and well-being between adults and youth.
