Distress Resources
Following mass violence events, including the shooting during the Super Bowl Rally in Kansas City, survivors may have feelings of confusion, fear, and helplessness. Sometimes, those with no personal connections to the event may even be impacted. It's normal for people to experience emotional distress after an event like this. Some may experience anxiety, trouble sleeping, and other depression-like symptoms in response to incidents of mass violence.
The Missouri Department of Mental Health has resources available to those affected.
Equity in Infrastructure
Please join the U.S. Department of Labor’s Women’s Bureau and DHEWD's Danielle Smith for virtual events discussing equity for Black women in upcoming infrastructure job opportunities.
In commemoration of Black History Month, these events will lift up the work of federal leaders to address historical equity issues in construction careers, as well as share information on future inclusive job opportunities for Black women in infrastructure.
Missouri Equal Opportunity Officer Danielle Smith will serve as a speaker during the February 26 event.

- Changes to the Data Breach policy include formatting and the removal of an outdated reference.
All policies can be viewed on the Intranet.
Ask DHEWDs
We have a mix of early birds and night owls at DHEWD. More than 58 percent said they are an early bird, while 42 percent said they are a night owl.
This week, we want to know if you would rather see babies dressed as animals or animals dressed as humans.
