Missouri Lawmakers on Extended Spring Break Due to COVID-19, Senate to Consider FY20 Supplemental Revisions upon return

The Missouri House and Senate were in recess this week for their legislative spring break; both chambers are expected to remain in recess through April 3.

Though no final decision has been made, the Senate could return the week of April 6 to consider HB 2017, the FY20 Supplemental Appropriations legislation, which was third read and passed in the House on March 18. When the Senate considers HB 2017, it is anticipated that legislators will expand the bill to address additional COVID-19 pandemic needs; this will likely involve considerable changes to items already funded in the legislation. To date, it is unclear when the House plans to return.
