Labor Day, which is observed on the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.

While Missouri Career Centers and several businesses will be closed on Monday in observance of the holiday, following the holiday set your sights and take aim at a brand new job at one of the job fairs and hiring events across Missouri this coming week!

And remember, although Missouri Career Centers may close for holidays or due to bad weather, jobs.mo.gov is ALWAYS open, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
