The Missouri Department of Economic
Development, in conjunction with the Missouri Housing Development Commission,
the Department of Social Services, and the Department of Health and Senior
Services, will conduct a public webinar on
October 29, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. regarding the 2019 Action
Plan for the State administered U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development (HUD) programs.
HUD requires the State of Missouri to
publish an Action Plan every year. The Action
Plan covers the following HUD programs administered by the State: Community Development Block Grant, HOME
Program, Emergency Solutions Grant Program, Housing Trust Fund, Housing
Opportunities for Persons with AIDS, and the Continuum of Care.
Staff from these programs must collect
information about the housing, community, and economic development needs for
the State and assemble a plan for meeting those needs over the next year. Part of that information must come from
public input. This meeting is an
opportunity for interested persons to contribute to the preliminary planning
process. During the meeting, staff will
present an outline of what is required for the plan, offer preliminary ideas
for assembling the data, and ask participants for input and suggestions.
Once the draft 2019 Action Plan is
published and distributed in January 2019, additional public meetings will be
conducted for further input. If you have
any questions about this process, please contact Marcy Oerly at 573-751-3600 marcy.oerly@ded.mo.gov
