ST. LOUIS, Mo.— Today the Missouri Department of
Economic Development (DED) announced that AB Mauri North America has continued
to expand in St. Louis City with several new, high-paying jobs as well as plans
to boost its current workforce.
Since AB Mauri relocated its North America headquarters in
early 2015 from Chesterfield to the Cortex District – where it benefits by
working nearby other tech-related companies – the company has grown its
employee base by more than 10 percent.
“AB Mauri has brought incredible energy to the Cortex
Innovation Community. We are thrilled that we provided a solution to keep them
in Missouri, and their current expansion is a validation that Cortex and
Missouri continue to serve their workforce needs well," said President
& CEO of the Cortex Innovation Community Dennis Lower.
Currently, AB Mauri has created several new positions and
has openings in procurement, supply, quality assurance and finance to support a
new specialty blending, milling and sweet goods operation in Cedar Rapids,
Iowa, that was acquired in mid-January.

Locally, AB Mauri North America was recently named an Arcus
Award winner by the St. Louis Regional Chamber and recognized in the St.
Louis Business Journal as having one of the ‘coolest office spaces’ in the
region.
AB Mauri is a baking technology provider with two major
segments, the nearly 150-year-old Fleischmann’s Yeast brand and a portfolio of
bakery ingredients – such as dough improvers, mold inhibitors and softeners –
for both industrial and artisan bakers.
AB Mauri was formed in 2004 as an operating division of
Associated British Foods (ABF), working around the world with operations in
more 50 countries and sales in more than 100 countries, with global
headquarters located in Peterborough, United Kingdom.
