Israeli tech startup Atomation to relocate to STL

An Israeli tech company is putting its roots down in the "Gateway to the West."

GlobalSTL announced last week that Atomation will move its headquarters from  Israel to St. Louis. Atomation is a tech company which develops and creates smart objects. Incorporating a mobile device and cloud-based analytics, the company's signature product allows users to connect any product via Bluetooth technology to the internet, allowing users to pull analytics and monitor progress from connected items.

Missouri Governor Eric Greitens congratulated Atomation executives for their decision to relocate to the Show-Me State.

"It was my honor to welcome a great new business to Missouri yesterday," Gov. Greitens said in a Facebook post Saturday. "We're fighting to bring more jobs with higher pay from around the world to our state."‬

GlobalSTL worked closely with Ameren to recruit Atomation to St. Louis. The company plans on developing a pilot program for Ameren that connects utility poles to the internet by installing sensors on dozens of Ameren’s utility poles. The sensors will help Ameren remotely monitor the integrity and health of the poles, which will allow the company to pinpoint issues in real time and respond more quickly and efficiently to any problems or customer concerns.

GlobalSTL, an initiative of BioSTL, aims to recruit high-growth international companies to set up U.S. headquarters in St. Louis. The organization focuses on companies that match St. Louis’ strengths in the energy, plant science, healthcare, and cyber security sectors. Atomation is the latest of a string of Israeli companies recruited to the region.

The company plans on creating 20 jobs, in sales and business development. Read more about Atomation and Ameren teaming up from CBS St. Louis. To learn more about how your business can benefit from the Show-Me State's business environment, visit our website.
