Show-Me Startup: The future of farming

Arvegenix, a St. Louis startup, is finding new ways for farmers to make money in the offseason planting Field Pennycress as a cover crop.  Click on the video below to learn more about Arvegenix and how the Helix Center Biotech Incubator is helping them to get their products from the lab to the land.

Through the work of Arvegenix, Pennycress  is found to be useful in the making of biodiesel and aviation fuel as well as providing excellent nutritional value for livestock.  Arvegenix is just one of many startups finding that the Helix Center is part of Missouri’s growing entrepreneurial infrastructure that cares if they succeed.  Click on the video above and see how the Missouri Technology Corporation plays an integral role in that success.

The Missouri Technology Corporation ("MTC") is a public-private partnership created by the Missouri General Assembly to promote entrepreneurship and foster the growth of new and emerging high-tech companies. MTC focuses on 21st Century bioscience industries that build on Missouri's rich history in agriculture and technology.
