releases May 2015 Jobs Report
According
to seasonally adjusted data released today by the Missouri Department of
Economic Development, Missouri’s nonfarm payroll employment grew by 6,600 jobs
in May, while the state’s unemployment rate edged up one-tenth of a point to
5.8 percent.
 Industries that experienced an increase in employment in May included leisure & hospitality (up by 3,200 jobs), trade, transportation & utilities (up by 2,300 jobs), professional & business services (up by 2,100 jobs), and construction (up by 1,400 jobs).
