New hours begin July 1 for Anita B. Gorman Discovery Center in Kansas City

The center will now be open every Saturday but closed on Mondays

Kansas City, Mo. – New hours for the Missouri Department of Conservation’s (MDC) Anita B. Gorman Discovery Center will begin on Monday, July 1.

Discovery Center will now be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Saturday, beginning July 1. Previously, the Discovery Center was open every other Saturday. The center will now be closed on Mondays.

The change of hours will allow staff to offer more weekend programs when people are free to attend. MDC’s Discovery Center offers classes and special programs for all ages, connecting people with the outdoors and nature’s changes through the seasons.

Discovery Center hours are now 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. The center is open until 7 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of each month for programs and meetings.
