Financial Help—Only Through MNsure

MNsure is the only place to get financial help for your health insurance, which could reduce your premium. Most Minnesotans qualify for some form of assistance, and we want to make sure that everyone who qualifies is taking advantage of this help. This week, we launched a new calculator that can help you find out if you qualify for an advanced premium tax credit, Medical Assistance or MinnesotaCare. Try the calculator

Open Enrollment off to Strong Start

As of 9:00 AM on November 19, 4,712 people have enrolled through MNsure since the start of the 2015 open enrollment period on November 15. 1,516 have enrolled in qualified health plans, 765 have enrolled in MinnesotaCare and 2,431 have enrolled in Medical Assistance.

MNsure Minute: Mary Jo

Mary Jo is a MNsure navigator at Planned Parenthood and has helped numerous Minnesotans get health insurance and financial help through MNsure. "To actually be involved in helping someone obtain the insurance has been a really exciting opportunity," Mary Jo said. The best part about being a navigator, according to Mary Jo, is being able to deliver good news to people, especially when they're not used to hearing it. "There are so many smiles, so many tears, so many hugs, it's just really a wonderful job." Watch Mary Jo’s video

Medical Assistance or MinnesotaCare recipients, members of federally recognized Indian tribes or participants in the Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP) may enroll year-round.
