MNsure Bulletin

March 23, 2023

A Word from the CEO

MNsure CEO Nate Clark retired on March 15, 2023, after nearly five years leading the organization. The MNsure team was incredibly lucky to have Nate guiding us over these past years. His steady leadership and determination to improve service to consumers will be felt for years to come. We wish him all the best in his next chapter.

The MNsure Board of Directors has launched a national search for a permanent CEO. In the meantime, the board named me as acting CEO, after over four years as MNsure’s senior director of public affairs, leading the agency’s government affairs, communications and marketing efforts.

My goal as acting CEO is to keep MNsure focused on the strategic goals our board has prioritized, including implementing improvements to our consumer services and finding new ways to reach underserved communities.

The dedication, skill and hard work of MNsure’s staff, and the support of our many partners, make me confident that we will continue to do great work for the Minnesotans we serve. There are great things ahead for MNsure and the people who rely on us for their health coverage!

Libby Caulum, Acting CEO

MNsure at 10: 2013 - 2023 (10th anniversary medallion)

Since MNsure was established on March 20, 2013, Minnesota’s health insurance marketplace has helped more Minnesotans than ever before get and stay covered with comprehensive health coverage.

At MNsure's 10-year anniversary, we have reason to celebrate: a record of successfully delivering benefits to Minnesota families.

Over the next year, we will highlight these successes and the important partnerships with our broker and navigator community that make it possible.
