While open enrollment doesn't begin until November 1, there are a few steps you can take before then to prepare.
First, it's important to update your MNsure account now if any of your information has changed, such as your address, projected income or family size.
Second, if you plan to work with a broker or navigator this fall, you can reach out to schedule your appointment before their calendars fill up. If you haven't worked with a broker or navigator in the past, you can use our online assister directory to find one near you.
We look forward to supporting Minnesotans seeking coverage this fall. Window shopping will begin in October, and we have significant improvements coming to the plan shopping and enrollment experience. Look for more details on that front soon.

Big life events like getting married, having a baby, or losing insurance due to a layoff can make you eligible for a special enrollment period. You may qualify for a special effective date of coverage. In most cases, you must enroll within 60 days of the event.
Go to our website for a list of qualifying life events and watch our videos for more details on how to apply.
If you qualify for Medical Assistance or MinnesotaCare, or are a member of a federally recognized American Indian tribe, you can enroll through MNsure at any time of the year.
