Final 2019 Rates Released

Final 2019 individual market health insurance rates were released on Tuesday by the Minnesota Department of Commerce. Those rates are going down on average between 7 and 27% across the state.

You can also save money if you qualify for financial help through MNsure. For example, an individual earning up to $48,560 a year, or a family of four earning up to $100,400 a year, could qualify for tax credits. Check the 2019 income guidelines.

Starting October 15, you can "window shop" and compare 2019 plans on MNsure.org to check for savings.

Get Ready for Open Enrollment

Open enrollment for 2019 starts in just a few weeks, on November 1. Save time later by taking action now!

Statewide Training Prepares Assisters

CEO Nate Clark addresses assisters at 2018 assembly training

MNsure is hosting the second annual round of assemblies across the state to provide assisters (navigators, brokers and certified application counselors) with in-person training and an opportunity to develop connections with other assisters in their area.

This is one of the many ways we ensure our community-based partners have all the information they need for the upcoming open enrollment period to provide people in their communities with free expert enrollment help.

Advisory Committee Call for Applications

Applicants are being sought to fill open seats on MNsure's Consumer and Small Employer and Health Industry advisory committees.

The deadline to submit a resume and a completed application is 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 11.

2018 Coverage Available through Special Enrollment

Looking for coverage? Minnesotans who experience certain life events can qualify to enroll through a special enrollment period.

Events such as getting married, having a baby, or losing insurance due to a layoff can make you eligible. You may qualify for a special effective date of coverage. In most cases, you must enroll within 60 days of the event.

Go to our website for a list of qualifying life events and watch our videos for more details on how to apply.

If you qualify for Medical Assistance or MinnesotaCare, or are a member of a federally recognized Indian tribe, you can enroll through MNsure at any time of the year.
