Spotlight: Program Improvement Celebration
On May 30, Sprockets network partners came together for a Program Improvement End of the Year Celebration, a morning of sharing and learning as we reflected on the Activator Improvement Cycle. Hear about some of our partners' data journeys and how you can get on board.
Rethinking School Start Times
Citing research that teenagers benefit significantly from later start times, Saint Paul Public Schools (SPPS) is considering adjusting school start times for the 2015-16 school year. SPPS is currently seeking input from community stakeholders in order to guide the decision, with the next community meeting being held on Aug. 11, 6 to 7:30 p.m. at 360 S. Colborne St. See future meeting dates, submit feedback online, and learn more about the conversation on the SPPS Start Times webpage.

More than 300,000 Minnesota children receive free or reduced-price school meals during the school year. But when summer arrives, only about 15 percent of these young people continue to access supportive meal programs. To fill that gap, Second Harvest Heartland has teamed up with the Minnesota Department of Education to help connect youth with free meals this summer. Check out the Summer Meal Map and learn more about the Summer Food Service Program.
