Dear Educators, Program Directors, Troop Leaders and Service Providers,

Are you searching for a fresh way to provide middle schoolers with exciting, meaningful learning experiences?

In response to Covid-19, Learn2Build created a series of construction kits for students to complete at home. The goal of the kit series is to provide experience with tools and excitement with experimentation, while also sparking an interest in the various construction career opportunities.  Each kit contains instructions, tools to keep and building materials. The series of four kits explore carpentry, tiling, electrical and ironworking.

Each kit includes the following:

  1. Instructions for kit project or activity
  2. All necessary tools and materials to complete the project or activity
  3. Trading cards describing various construction trades that relate to project or activity

Construction kits will be delivered to your site for your distribution. The Learn2Build program will also ask you to help conduct a short satisfaction survey and collect demographic data about your energetic hands-on learners.

A limited number of free kits are provided in partnership with the Opus Foundation.  Preference will be given to middle schoolers that will attend a high school with a construction curriculum program.  Other kits will be available for a nominal fee.

If you are interested in participating in the fun tool experience, please fill out the interest form.

Learn2Build is a program under the umbrella of the Construction Career Foundation (CCF), a non-profit designed to provide construction career exploration for Minnesota students.
