Big Brother Big Sister Workshop Series

Check Out These Youth Workshops!

Nov. 23rd - Dec. 14th

Ramsey County has funded, through a generous grant, a series of youth workshops through Big Brothers, Big Sisters in St Paul. Twin Cities RISE has partnered with BBBS to provide Emotional Intelligence and 21^st Century Skills Training focusing on personal empowerment, interest assessment, career research, and critical skills during these workshops.

The series of virtual workshops will begin on November 23^rd. Youth between the ages of 16-19 are strongly encouraged to apply and participate in this series of workshops.

Participants will have the opportunity to earn a total of $360.00 if they attend all of the sessions and complete all the homework assignments. Plus, they will be issued a Chromebook if needed and can keep it after the workshops are over.

Keystone Best Buy Teen Tech Center

Drop-in Appointments:

Come use the Teen Tech Center's music equipment, design software, 3D printer and more! Safety precautions are in place and masks are required. You MUST make an appointment before arriving at the space.

Career Pathways Program

Join the Career Pathways Program!

November 2020 - May 2021

The Career Pathways Program offered by Keystone Community Services takes place at the Teen Tech Center on Selby Ave.

If you are a teen or know a teen interested in technology and professional development this program is perfect for you. After gaining some soft skills for careers while applying tech knowledge, teens will be partnered with a worksite and mentor(s).

Teens will have an opportunity to apply some of the skills they have learned with the worksites, ultimately designing and completing projects for their site using tech components.

This is a paid internship. The expectation of the teens involved is that they attend 1-2 weekly virtual or in-person meetings in order to participate in the summer internship.

For teens ages 16-19 by June 2021.

YWCA Programs

Youth Employment Program - ULEAD

Learn to work and work to learn! Meet one-on-one and with a group to explore and set career goals, learn what you need to be a star employee, and earn experience and credentials through paid work training.

Dates vary, please contact YWCA St. Paul for more information! Social distant in-person and remote options are available.

Flexible - Individual meetings are scheduled via Zoom. For teens ages 14-24.

Girls Emerge

Girls Emerge is a program that gives young women the opportunity to create community, affirms identity, explores careers, and promote social justice through a racial and gender equity lens. If you want to start achieving your personal goals while gaining valuable leadership skills as you learn about advocacy and community building, check out Girls Emerge.
