Now taking applications for The Young Women's Cabinet

Do you know a young woman between 16-24 yrs who is interested in working to build equity for young women in Minnesota! The Young Women's Initiative of Minnesota is now accepting applications for the Young Women’s Cabinet. 24 young women (ages 16-24) will be selected to participate. 


Apply by November 4.  

The Governor's Office & The Women's Foundation of Minnesota have launched a statewide initiative to develop an action plan to address disparities for young women of color, American Indian young women, young women with disabilities, and LGBTQ youth. This initiative will include a cohort of youth (Young Women's Cabinet) to identify disparities and solutions. The YWCA St. Paul will be working with the Young Women's Cabinet on Leadership & Advocacy. There will be about 2-3 meetings a month  from December 2016- April 2017 and they will be paid $15.00/hour for their time. 

Please share this opportunity and assist youth with the application process. Applicants will be selected by the Women's Foundation of Minnesota Committee and be appointed by the Governor.
