SPPS Student Advisory Team
On September 22nd the St. Paul Public Schools Board voted to launch a Student Advisory Team. In the pilot year, this group of students will work to: develop the long term vision and structure of the Youth Advisory Team, work on issues important to them and issues assigned by the Board and administration for greater student engagement in decision making.
We are asking for your help to identify and encourage application from 10th-12th grade youth who attend a St. Paul Public School, who are passionate and creative critical thinkers. Please help us find your traditionally identified leaders, emerging leaders, and yet to self identify as leaders by encouraging and supporting them through the application process.
Full information on time commitment, application, stipends to youth can be found engagement.spps.org/students
Deadline for applications is Thursday, October 15th.
Students can submit their application in the language they feel most able to express themselves.
Questions should be directed to shaun.walsh@spps.org
