House Fire
On November 2nd, 2026 at 2:37pm, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office responded to the 10000 Block of Heino Road, in rural Sturgeon Twp, due to a reported house fire. Multiple volunteer fire departments from around the area responded. Upon arrival, the house was found to be fully engulfed. The homeowner was present and trying to rescue family pets.
The house was eventually deemed a total loss. Two dogs and one cat perished in the fire. The Red Cross was contacted and is assisting the family at this time.
The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Kinney-Great Scott Fire Department, the Pike/Sandy/Britt Fire Department, the Cook Fire Department, the Cook Ambulance Service and the Virginia Sprint Medical Unit also responded.
