Structure Fire Canosia Township
At 1206 PM, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office along with numerous fire departments, Canosia Fire Department, Air National Guard Fire Department, Hermantown Fire Department and Rice Lake Fire Department were dispatched to a possible structure fire in the 5100 block of Ugstad Road in Canosia Township.
Upon arrival, deputies entered the residence with fire extinguishers along with an off-duty Hermantown fire department member with a garden hose and attempted extinguishing the flames. As fire personnel arrived, they continued the efforts and extinguished the flames. The fire appears accidental in nature and no foul play is suspected. 1 dog perished,2 were rescued and 1 cat has not been located at this time. No people were injured in the fire.
