Angela Lynn Cerney Pleads Guilty

On October 5, before the Honorable Judge Robert Friday, Angela Lynn Cerney, 42, pleaded guilty to First-Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance, announced St. Louis County Attorney Kim Maki. During the plea, Ms. Cerney admitted to possessing more than 50 grams of methamphetamine in her Virginia apartment. Ms. Cerney also acknowledged her prior conviction for second-degree possession of a controlled substance.
By joint agreement, the parties anticipate that Judge Friday will sentence Ms. Cerney to prison for a duration within the range presumed by the Minnesota Sentencing Guidelines. Ms. Cerney’s sentencing hearing is scheduled for October 15, 2026. She will remain incarcerated pending sentencing.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant County Attorney Chris Florey.
