Community Connect event happening in Eveleth on November 4
Community Connect - the event designed as a one-stop-shop providing a variety of free services and connections to resources for all ages and abilities - is coming to Eveleth.
The next Community Connect event will be held on Wednesday, November 4, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Eveleth Community Center, 801 Jones Street in Eveleth. As the name suggests, Community Connect helps connect people to resources available from agencies and non-profits in the community.
This Community Connect event will offer a free meal, hygiene items, housing supports, older adult resources, disease and vaccine education, mental health and substance use resources, and warrant resolutions. Plus, for the first time at a Community Connect event, there will be a separate room with free preventative health services such as flu vaccines, blood pressure checks, vision/hearing screenings, and more.
Arrowhead Transit will provide free transportation to and from the event on existing routes.
This Community Connect is co-sponsored by St. Louis County Public Health, the Bois Forte Band of Chippewa, Fairview, Essentia Health, Medica, Blue Cross Blue Shield. and Arrowhead Transit.
