Trunk or Treat event set for October 31 in Mt. Iron

A popular Iron Range Halloween tradition is celebrating its fifth year, and for the first time ever is happening on Halloween. Kids and families are invited to start their trick or treating early at Trunk or Treat, happening Saturday, October 31, from noon to 2 p.m., in the Plaza 53 parking lot, 5465 Mountain Iron Drive. The event is coordinated by the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, Virginia Police Department, Mt. Iron Fire Department, Legacy Church and Recovery Alliance Duluth (RAD).

The annual event is free and open to the public, welcoming kids and families from around the region. Area businesses and community members will be decorating vehicles with kid-friendly Halloween displays in the trunks and will be handing out treats.

It's a great opportunity for families to safely trick-or-treat during daylight hours, not to mention a chance for kids to wear their costume a little bit longer on Halloween.
